Hoist the sails!

Being surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean, of course there are days where you just want to get out and float adrift in the ocean. My cousin was kind enough to invite some of her friends and myself out on her dad’s boat, and needless to say after spending a few hours burning in the hot sun and swimming around Paradise Lakes it was time to find a cozier spot.

*whistle*

Two local boatmen called us over to raft up along side an old sailboat that looked like it sailed to Bermuda through a couple of rough, intense thunderstorms. There were empty bottles of alcohol, the paint was pealed and the screws were rusted, yet I loved it! After staring at this sailboat for about 5 minutes I decided to act like a pirate and climb aboard this abandoned sailboat. First I snapped a picture of the front of the sailboat and then spotted a rusty chain so I got a few pictures of that as well. I was pretty much walking around this boat like I owned it. After photographing just about every detail on the boat ranging from the sails and knots, to the rope and bolts, I figured it was time to get off the boat and head back in the water for another swim.

Here are just some of the photos that I took!
