Toronto

The second study break of the semester was last week but studying was the last thing on my mind. I met my mom in Toronto for a week/weekend planned full of shopping, hanging out, and catching a few games while in the area. We stayed at the Chelsea Hotel in downtown Toronto which was the perfect location to almost everything. It was so nostalgic walking around the city as it brought back memories of when I visited as a kid. But now, over 10 years later, I’m back and my perception about the city has changed. I found inspiration everywhere! City blocks, street corners, the people, and the local city animals.

I’ve been looking to buy new lenses for my camera and I finally did. After some research and consultation from the employee at the the store I ended up purchasing two brand new lenses. The next day I was out in the streets snapping away while trying to get adjusted to my new “children”. On Friday and Saturday my mom and I had tickets to see the Toronto Maple Leafs vs. Philadelphia Flyers and Toronto Raptors vs. New York Knicks. I was so eager to capture some of the action but sadly the baggage policy doesn’t allow cameras of a certain size into the stadium. That left me with the only option of taking photos on my phone, at least I had some way of capturing the fun and exciting games! Now that I’m back in Nova Scotia I look forward to getting outdoors during study breaks to take a few pictures of the surrounding area.
